Daniel Bwala, an aide to President Bola Tinubu, has shared a conversation he once had with Dino Melaye before the 2023 presidential election.
In a video from 56:16 shared by Symfoni TV, Bwala said he got into a friendly argument with Dino Melaye during a flight from Paris to Nigeria, while they were both working for Atiku. He said Melaye told him that he would immediately leave Nigeria if Tinubu won the presidential election
Bwala said Tinubu eventually won the election, but Melaye is still living comfortably in Nigeria. He also said Melaye has been criticizing Tinubu’s government openly and nobody has harmed him
In Bwala’s words: “When I was with Atiku, one of the days we were flying from Paris to Nigeria and I got into this banter and conversation with Dino Melaye. And Dino Melaye said, ‘Walahi Bwala, God forbid if Tinubu win election from wherever I am I will just run out of Nigeria’. This was what was in his mind.
