Lauretta Onochie, a Chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC and former presidential aide has reacted to the exit of the former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi from the party.
According to the statements which were shared on her official X handle on Monday May 4th, 2026 he pointed out that the former Anambra governor exited because the structure refused to be manipulated.
It can be recalled that the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party had caused a massive public debate after he announced his departure from the ADC few months to the general elections.
However, while he absolved ADC heavyweights including Atiku Abubakar and Rotimi Amaechi of wrongdoings, the reasons given for the exit was widely viewed as not satisfactory.
