A former supporter of Peter Obi, James Kitiya, has explained why he no longer backs the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate and now supports President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a video from 14:10 shared by Vanguard, Kitiya said his decision was based on what he described as performance and personal disappointment with Obi’s political choices. He recalled meeting Obi in person alongside another associate, Dr. Mo, where he openly expressed his concerns.

According to him, he approached Obi confidently and reminded him of the effort and support he gave during the election period. He showed Obi evidence of his involvement, including a photo of himself carrying the Labour Party flag, to prove his loyalty at the time.

Kitiya stated that he directly told Obi he was unhappy with him and questioned why he had aligned himself with certain people. He said Obi did not respond to his concerns during the conversation, while Dr. Mo appeared to notice the sincerity in his words.

Despite his frustration, Kitiya said he felt satisfied for speaking honestly. He also mentioned that Obi later asked about a political group known as the Jagaban Frontliners, which Kitiya said he and his associates were part of.

In his words, “I walked up to Obi, confidently without any fear, and I said, ‘Well done sir, you know I’m not happy with you.’ I showed Obi, the picture of me wearing a Labour Party flag, I said, ‘I held this flag for you. Why did you join these people?’ Obi didn’t talk.”…Read_More…
