In a recent interview on Symfoni TV, Oladimeji Fabiyi spoke during a live political discussion where he addressed internal party dynamics within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the responsibilities of its current leadership ahead of the 2027 elections.
During the interview from 19:00, Fabiyi stated, “David Mark and Aregbesola are not running for president, so they have the duty to reset the ADC — Fabiyi.” He made the remark while explaining the strategic role of party leaders who are not directly involved in presidential ambitions.
He emphasized that effective party leadership requires neutrality and a commitment to strengthening internal structures, noting that leaders without personal ambitions are better positioned to ensure fairness and discipline in the process of selecting candidates.
Fabiyi explained that David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola have a unique opportunity to reposition the party by strictly adhering to its constitution and guidelines.

Fabiyi further maintained that the party must avoid the pitfalls experienced by other political parties, where internal disputes and lack of transparency weakened their chances during elections.
