In a recent video from 28:33 shared on The Volume Pod, Blessing Oladeji, Nigeria Data strategist and Public sector innovator, spoke on coalition mathematics, voter distribution, and predictive electoral outcomes ahead of the 2027 general elections.
During the interview, Oladeji stated, “If you don’t have Obi and Atiku or Obi and Kwankwaso on the ballot, BAT will win the election.” He made the remark while analyzing how opposition fragmentation could influence the overall direction of Nigeria’s presidential race.
He explained that the projection is based on aggregated survey data and predictive models that simulate different electoral scenarios across Nigeria’s geopolitical zones and voting blocs.
Oladeji referenced Peter Obi as a central figure in opposition politics, noting that his voter base plays a critical role in determining competitive balance during elections.
He also mentioned Atiku Abubakar and Rabiu Kwankwaso, emphasizing that both politicians command significant regional support that becomes strategically important when combined with other major contenders.
Oladeji further referenced Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stating that in a scenario where opposition votes are divided among multiple candidates, the incumbent maintains a structural advantage.
According to him, Nigeria’s electoral outcomes are heavily influenced by coalition strength, and the absence of unified opposition often results in a clear advantage for the ruling party.
He explained that data-driven simulations consistently show that fragmented tickets reduce the probability of opposition victory, while combined tickets significantly increase competitiveness.
Oladeji concluded by stressing that while predictive models provide strong directional insights, actual election results will still depend on voter turnout, campaign performance, and evolving political conditions closer to 2027…Read_More…
