Kenneth Okonkwo, a lawyer and member of the ADC, has stated that his party was refused access to public institutions to hold its national convention.
In an interview from 12:58 with Channels Television, Okonkwo said the ADC was forced to rent a private garden for the convention. He said the owners of the private garden were warned not to allow ADC use it, else their certificate of occupancy would be revoked.
Okonkwo stated that when ADC members eventually used the venue, the air conditioners and fans were switched off, leaving them in extreme heat
