As Muslims across the globe celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, President Bola Tinubu has assured Nigerians that the nation is stepping into a new chapter filled with hope and transformation.
In his Eid message to the Muslim faithful, Tinubu said the sacred season is a time for reflection, gratitude, and renewed commitment to values like sacrifice, compassion, and national unity.
He noted that the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir goes beyond festivities, as it symbolizes obedience, faith, and devotion, drawing from the example of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
“Eid calls us to reflect on its core values of sacrifice, devotion, and selflessness. To truly honour Eid, we must embody these virtues,” he said.
President Tinubu stressed that the values of resilience, tolerance, and compassion are crucial to moving the country forward. He thanked Nigerians for their patience and strength as his administration continues to implement bold economic and social reforms.
While acknowledging that the journey has not been easy, Tinubu gave assurances that the nation has turned a corner.
“I assure you that the toughest days are behind us. We are entering a new era of renewed hope and prosperity that we promised two years ago,” he stated.
He added that the public and private sectors have played a vital role in keeping the country stable, and the positive results of ongoing reforms are gradually becoming visible.
Tinubu encouraged Nigerians not to lose faith, as the ultimate aim of his government’s agenda is to transform lives and build a stronger economy.
“There are no quick fixes, but we are committed to repairing the foundations of our economy once and for all,” he emphasized.
The President also mourned the recent flooding in Mokwa, Niger State, calling for prayers and support for affected families.
He concluded by urging Nigerians to remember one another in kindness and prayers, and to keep faith in the nation’s future, especially as brighter days lie ahead.
