Following the Biafra Remembrance Day which happens to be today, Nigerian veteran singer, Charly Boy has taken to social media to recount his experience during the Nigerian civil war. He disclosed that he beheld many corpses during the civil war and most of them died as a result of famine.

Charly Boy who made such disclosure through his official X account few minutes ago, revealed that the Nigerian civil war scandalized his youth and it was mother’s luck that kept some of them alive throughout such period.

Speaking further, Charly Boy stated that;

“I saw far too many dead bodies everywhere, mostly from starvation. Everyday was like one’s last. Even with some food relief from the redcross, some of us ate lizards as our protein. It was hell, I will never forget.”
