According to a video from 19:07 posted on Al Arabiya on Friday, July 15, 2026, Israeli President Isaac Herzog said Israeli forces found missiles, rockets, and launch equipment hidden inside private homes, kitchens, and bedrooms during operations in Gaza.

Herzog described this discovery while defending Israel’s military conduct in Gaza against accusations of excessive civilian harm.

He said Israeli forces gave advance warning to residents before entering areas believed to house tunnels and weapons storage linked to the October 7 attacks and ongoing threats against Israeli civilians.

He said the scale of weapons concealment inside residential areas, including mosques and schools, made the operation especially difficult, forcing troops to search homes directly to remove threats.

Herzog maintained that Israel acted within international law despite the challenges posed by fighting in densely populated areas.

He added that many of those killed during these operations were confirmed Hamas operatives, saying Israel maintains detailed records identifying them.
