Bemgba Iortyom, a PDP chieftain and newly appointed Media Consultant, has recounted how he narrowly escaped an attack in Makurdi on Friday night.

In an report published by DAILY POST on Saturday, March 14, 2026, Iortyom stated that five hoodlums riding two motorcycles ambushed him along George Akume Way around 8 p.m.

He explained that the attackers, armed with short axes, blocked his Peugeot 406 just as he attempted to park to answer a phone call. He said that he managed to flee, but the assailants poured fuel on his vehicle and set it ablaze.

Iortyom stated that his survival was due to quick thinking and divine intervention, though onlookers only urged him to run while the assailants sped off.

In his words: ”I give God Almighty the glory for quick thinking, which enabled me to act fast by opening the door of my car and running away before the hoodlums poured fuel on the car and set it ablaze.” Read_More…
