Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy and Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller has defended President Donald Trump’s hardline approach toward Iran, insisting that the administration’s response to Tehran’s alleged breach of an agreement demonstrates that the United States will no longer tolerate actions that undermine its interests.

Speaking during an interview FROM 2:17 on Fox News’ Hannity on Thursday, July 16, 2026, Miller argued that Iranian leaders had miscalculated by believing they could violate an agreement with the United States without facing serious consequences.

According to him, previous U.S. administrations had allowed Iran to act aggressively for decades, but President Trump had adopted a markedly different approach by responding forcefully to what he described as Tehran’s violations.
