According to a video from 00:14:44 posted on Fox News on Monday July 13, 2026, President Trump said the United States completely wiped out Iran’s entire air force, adding that it does not even exist anymore.
The remark came during a White House press event where Trump had just finished signing proclamations that shrink two large Utah monuments, before answering reporter questions on Iran.
Trump said American forces knocked out Iran’s navy within a single month and followed that by destroying most of its missiles and drones.
He cited figures suggesting 92 percent of Iran’s drone manufacturing and 89 percent of its missile manufacturing capability had been destroyed.
Trump compared the four-month campaign to the nearly two-decade war in Vietnam, arguing the results have come far faster this time.
He said Iran’s radar systems and anti-aircraft defenses are also gone, along with much of its senior military and political leadership.
Trump maintained that despite the losses, Iran will likely keep fighting for some time, even as the United States controls the strait and works to keep it open for other nations.
In his words, Trump said, “We’ve knocked out their Navy in a period of one month. We knocked out their air force. Their air force is non-existent.”
He said Iran, once considered the strongest military power in the Middle East, no longer holds that position.
