In an interview from 39:22 with Nigeria Info FM, a former Director of the Department of State Services (DSS), Dennis Amachree, stated that it is difficult for authorities to properly monitor and control movement across Nigeria’s borders effectively

Amachree said there was a time when he went to a house in Maiduguri and saw that the living room of the house was in Cameroon while the bedroom was in Nigeria.

Amachree stated that there is a place called Maradi market in Niger Republic. He said people from Nigeria cross the border to trade in the market and return daily

In Amachree’s words: “If you go to the north now there is a place called Maradi, it is a market. It is in Niger Republic but people cross Nigerian border to go to that market everyday and come back. There is a place I went to in Maiduguri, the living room is in Cameroon and the bedroom is in Nigeria, seriously. They purposely took me to those places to show me how difficult it is to monitor it” Read_More…
