Reno Omokri, Nigeria’s ambassador designate and former presidential aide has taken to his official X handle to disclose that the former governor of Kaduna State, Nasiru El-Rufai did less than was expected of him. According to the statements which were shared on his official X, he also pointed out that he cannot defend him.
The former governor of Kaduna State and ADC Chieftain, Nasiru El-Rufai was recently on the spotlight after his sudden release from ICPC custody triggered massive public attention, as many were left bewildered given that no court order was granted.
The ADC Chieftain, it can be recalled, had been under detention for weeks over allegations of mismanagement of public funds. However, few days to the burial of his mother, the former governor was released.
In a recent statement which was published on his official X handle, Reno Omokri, a former presidential aide and Nigeria’s ambassador designate to Mexico while replying to the controversies that trailed the former governor’s release, made a striking revelation regarding his actions while in office.
According to his statements, the outspoken former special adviser pointed out that the ADC Chieftain could have done much better while in office, however, his policies and actions failed to live up to expectations.
He further maintained that he cannot use the occasion of mourning of the late Hajiya Umma El-Rufai to defend the former governor.
