Governor Siminalayi Fubara has addressed the political crisis in Rivers State. He said that what some people see as “trouble” in the state is actually part of God’s plan to guide the state in a new direction.

In a live coverage by Symfoni TV from 2:33, Fubara said God has been leading him since his first day in office. He said instead of getting weak, he has continued to grow stronger and bolder because the people of Rivers State have been praying for him.

In Fubara’s words: “I also believe that what people are calling trouble is God’s purpose for a new direction in our state. He has taken us right from the first day. Rather than get weak, we are getting stronger and bolder and the secret is just one thing: your prayers. The quiet and secret prayers that you give to us in your closets, I can tell you there is no prayer that God doesn’t answer. It is like depositing money in the bank. So I want to thank everyone of you”
