Adams Oshiomhole, Lawmaker representing Edo North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has launched a scathing attack on Asue Ighodalo’s governorship ambitions, declaring him unelectable due to his alleged disconnect from the people of Edo State.

In an interview with Arise News from 31:29, Oshiomhole criticized Ighodalo’s inability to speak his native language, requiring an interpreter to communicate with his own villagers during a recent visit. He also accused Ighodalo of harboring a biased view of his own people, labeling them “witches and wizards” and refusing to sleep in his village.

Oshiomhole emphasized that a leader who does not understand or connect with his people cannot effectively govern. He portrayed Ighodalo as an out-of-touch elitist, unsuitable for the governorship position.

In his words;

“He’s not electable, he does not understand the people. He doesn’t know Edo State. He can’t speak the language of his own village. Even the day he went to announce himself, he carried an interpreter to speak to his own villagers. When he finished, he went to Benin, he didn’t sleep in his village because village people in his view are all witches and wizards. Typical of some segment of the Elites. A man like that cannot govern”….Sêe_Morē
