Controversial media personality Ifedayo Olarinde, better known as Daddy Freeze, has taken to social media with his views on gender roles in relationships and marital affairs.

According to Freeze, he said “your husband is not your partner, he is your head”

In a recent post on his social media page, Freeze declared that women should understand that their husbands are not their partners, but rather, their heads.

Quoting Freeze, he stated, “Igbo tradition, Yoruba tradition, Hausa tradition, Fulani tradition, Erik tradition, Christian tradition, Islam tradition, Muslim tradition, middle eastern tradition—all say that the man is the head of the house. But abroad, your husband is your partner.”

Freeze further emphasized that women should exercise caution when choosing to whom they submit their headship. He made it clear that although husbands are not considered equals or partners, they hold a distinct position of authority within the household.

The media personality’s comments have generated a significant response, with individuals expressing both support and opposition to his perspective.

Some argue that Freeze’s views perpetuate traditional gender roles and undermine the progress made towards equality. Others, however, believe that his statements reflect cultural norms and religious beliefs that should be respected.

While Freeze’s remarks have sparked controversy, they have also opened up a broader conversation about gender dynamics within relationships.
