In a recent interview with Arise News From 21:53, Dan Nwanyanwu, Chairman of the Zenith Labour Party, took a swipe at former Governor Nyesom Wike, saying, “You have done 8 years, what did you forget there?” Nwanyanwu’s comments were in response to Wike’s continued involvement in Rivers State politics despite having completed his tenure as governor.

Nwanyanwu used a metaphor to drive home his point, saying, “You don’t sell your goat and hold the rope. The man that brought the goat has to take the rope to take the goat home. You cannot be here and there.” He emphasized the need for Wike to allow the current Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, to perform his duties without interference.

Nwanyanwu attributed the ongoing crisis in Rivers State to Wike’s refusal to relinquish control, stating, “This is the problem with Nigerians. When they get to a position, they do not want to leave.” He further alleged that the crisis is being orchestrated from Abuja, implying that Wike is receiving support from the nation’s capital….Seë_Morë
