Former president, Olusegun Obasanjo has faulted members of the National Assembly for determining the amount they are supposed to be paid as their monthly wages and allowances.

The businessman who made such statement during an interview with news correspondences which was uploaded on the micro blogging platform, X by CHANNELS TV few minutes ago, stated that the National Assembly members are not supposed to fix their salaries and allowances, because it is immoral.

In his own words, Olusegun Obasanjo mentioned that;

“With all due respect, you are not supposed to fix your salaries and allowances, it is not right. But you decide what you give yourselves, including newspaper allowances, pants allowances, you give yourselves all sorts of names. It is not right for me to determine what to pay myself, it’s immoral. And you’re doing it, the Senate too is doing it. And in some cases the executive give you what you’re not entitled to.”….Seê Morê
