Liborous Oshoma, a legal expert, has declared that the Governor is the leader of the party in the State, not former Governor Wike. In an interview with TVC News From 1:40, Oshoma emphasized that the Governor, as the Chief Security Officer, bears responsibility for the state’s peace and security.
Oshoma urged the Governor to take a mature approach, engage in dialogue, and make concessions for the sake of peace. He believes this would earn the Governor political capital and recognition as a leader who prioritizes peace. However, if the Governor continues on the current path, the outcome could be unpredictable, and the courts may intervene.
In his words;
“The Governor now is the leader of the party in the State, not Wike. Anybody that is saying Wike is the leader is deceiving himself. He can be the leader in Abuja, the Governor is the leader of the State. He’s the Chief Security Officer of the State. If the State is not in peace, it’s is his responsibility. He should at least for maturity sake, for purpose of Leadership say let us sit down in a round table and for the sake of peace, this is what I’m ready to give and he’ll be the taller person politically and his name will be written in gold as a man who stoops to conquer but if he continues like this , Wike that we know and the APC that we know, you can never know what the Court will say tomorrow”
