Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and former Governor of Rivers State, has stated that a top army officer once gave an order for him to be shot while he was still governor.
In an interview with Channels Television from 1:16:17, Wike said during his time as governor, General Sarham, who was the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 6 Division of the Nigerian Army in Rivers State, ordered a colonel to shoot him.
Wike said the colonel refused to carry out the order and General Sarham detained the colonel for six months because of that.
In Wike’s words: “General Sarham ordered that I should be shot, that is why when I heard that he is in NSA’s office I refused to go there again. It is not APC I am supporting, I am supporting Bola Tinubu. General Sarham ordered as a sitting governor I should be shot, the colonel refused and he detained the colonel for 6 months” See, More, Here>>>>
