Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reiterated his government’s determination to strengthen Israel’s security and independence by building a powerful domestic defense industry, a move he says is crucial for safeguarding the country against external threats and international political pressures.

In a video message released on YouTube from 7:56, Netanyahu reflected on Israel’s recent confrontation with Iran, describing it as a turning point that highlighted the need for self-reliance in defense production. “You saw some of it, not even all. In the 12-day war with Iran, we understood the urgency. We are going to produce an independent arms industry—very powerful, very strong—that can withstand any kind of international political constraints and will provide security for the state of Israel,” the Prime Minister declared.

Netanyahu stressed that Israel’s security should never be contingent on shifting global politics or outside influences. According to him, the lessons of past conflicts demand bold action to guarantee that Israel can defend itself without hesitation or restrictions.

The Prime Minister argued that establishing a robust arms industry within Israel would not only address immediate security challenges but also secure the nation’s long-term sovereignty and resilience. He warned that international politics often impose limitations on military cooperation and weapons procurement, making self-reliance a strategic necessity.

“Israel’s survival and prosperity depend on our ability to control our own security apparatus,” he said, emphasizing that the government is fully committed to ensuring the nation remains strong regardless of international pressures.
