According to a report by Times of Israel, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has urged Israel to exercise “maximum restraint” following the recent drone attack on Tel Aviv claimed by Yemen’s Houthi rebels, which resulted in one death and at least ten injuries.

In a statement, Guterres expressed deep concern about the potential for further escalation in the region, emphasizing that “the Secretary-General remains deeply concerned about the risk such dangerous acts pose for further escalation.”

The attack has heightened tensions in an already volatile environment, with ongoing conflicts in Gaza and increasing military actions from various regional actors. The Israeli military is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the drone strike and why its air defense systems failed to intercept the attack.
