In a revelation made public through SYMFONI TV from 3:00, a prominent member of the Obidient movement Dr. Peter Piper has alleged that Labour Party National Chairman, Julius Abure faced intense pressure to concede defeat following the 2023 presidential election.

According to Dr. Piper, this pressure came shortly after the Independent National Electoral Commission declared Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the winner.

He revealed that Mr. Abure was allegedly approached with a tempting offer saying, “Mention any amount of money you want, in any currency, we will give it to you. All you just need to do is make a public statement to concede that the Labour Party lost the election.”

Dr. Piper described the situation as a “deliberately orchestrated gang-up” aimed at destabilizing the Labour Party and discrediting the collective efforts made during the election period.

“What we can see now is a calculated effort to disunite the Labour Party,” the group stated. “The party has been infiltrated deliberately by people whose mission is to destroy its internal cohesion and ruin the momentum we built together.”

The revelation adds a new dimension to the post-election controversies and could further fuel tensions among party supporters and the wider public. While Julius Abure has not publicly confirmed or denied the bribery claim, the Obidient movement insists that such actions were meant to delegitimize their struggle for electoral justice.
