Zimbabwe head coach, Michael Nees, has expressed his admiration for the Super Eagles of Nigeria’s tactical flexibility during their 2-0 win over Rwanda in the World Cup qualifiers, according to OwnGoalNigeria. Nees, who will lead his team against the Super Eagles on Tuesday, was impressed by Nigeria’s ability to change formations and positions seamlessly during the game.
Nees revealed that he was left in awe by the Super Eagles’ tactical prowess, which made it difficult for Rwanda to cope. “They kept changing formation and position, it was amazing to watch,” Nees said. “At some point, they looked like they were playing 3-5-2, and then they switched to 4-3-2-1. They even changed to 4-3-3 in the second half and killed the game by holding onto possession.”
Nees acknowledged that Nigeria’s quality and organization were key factors in their victory over Rwanda. “When you have players of that quality, it’s easy to be flexible tactically,” he said.
Despite being impressed by Nigeria’s performance, Nees is determined to lead his team to victory on Tuesday. Zimbabwe’s World Cup qualification hopes are hanging by a thread, and a loss to Nigeria would effectively end their chances. “We will go all out for a result on Tuesday,” Nees said.
The match between Nigeria and Zimbabwe promises to be an exciting encounter, with both teams having everything to play for.
