Abdulrahman Bello, the main suspect in the killing of a final-year student of Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin, Hafsoh Yetunde Lawal, has alleged that he was beaten and he was also forced to say that he poisoned Hafsoh’s food and strangled her to death.

As reported by the Vanguard News, Abdulrahman Bello said, “They beat me and forced me to say that I poisoned her food and strangled her to death.”

The suspect alleged that police officers tortured him into falsely confessing to poisoning and strangling the deceased, as shown in a confessional video presented by the prosecution in the court. Abdulrahman Bello denied any involvement in using the body of the late Hafsoh for money rituals, claiming he was in love with her.
