Former Nigerian Senator, Shehu Sani has disclosed that the power of sight is more valuable than money.
Senator Sani shared the insightful revelation on his X handle, formally Twitter, on Friday, August 16.
The statement comes following his visit to the school for deaf and blind children in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The senator narrated that he looked at the face of a child who wouldn’t be able to see throughout his life and would not know what the human face looks like.
He added that those children would not see the nature of the sun and the planets, rocks, sands, and water.
“I have visited the FCT school for the deaf children and I have visited the FCT school for the blind Children. I looked at the face of a Child who cannot see for the rest of his life. They will never know what a human being looks like and will never know what the Sun, the plants, the rocks, the sand, and even water look like. They will live their lives in a World they will never know. Always be thankful to your God that one of the most precious things He has given you is the power of sight. There is something more valuable than money, that is your eyes. Nobody will choose to gain the whole riches of this world and be blind”, Senator Sani tweeted.
Sani therefore advised individuals to always be grateful to God for the gift of the sight and added that no one would choose riches over the ability to see….Vìêw–Morê
