In a recent video on Facebook, popular Nigerian prophet, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has declared that Labour Party’s Peter Obi will not win if he contests the 2027 presidential election, saying his time has not yet come. The cleric also revealed that the only person capable of contesting strongly against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the next election is not Obi.
Speaking in a prophetic message from 01:01, Ayodele stated: “The only person that will contest with Tinubu — not even Obi. Obi’s time has not… he said Obi becomes vice president.” The pronouncement appeared to suggest that the former Anambra governor may play a secondary role in future political developments rather than leading a presidential ticket.
Ayodele further emphasized that Obi’s presidential ambition would not succeed if pursued at this time. “If you say to go and contest as president, Obi, you will not win,” the prophet declared, stressing that the political atmosphere is not yet aligned in Obi’s favor.
The cleric, known for his frequent predictions about Nigeria’s political landscape, maintained that divine timing remains key to success in politics. According to him, while Obi enjoys strong grassroots support, the current political configuration favors President Tinubu, who, he said, would likely face a different and yet-to-be-revealed opponent.
