According to a report by Times of Israel, on Tuesday October 28, 2025, Israeli officials have accused Hamas of orchestrating elaborate deceptions regarding hostage remains recovery, claiming the terror group stages discoveries as part of a broader pattern of fabrication and manipulation.
A senior official from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) told The Times of Israel that Israel has grown increasingly frustrated with what they characterize as Hamas’s systematic dishonesty throughout the two-week ceasefire period.
The government is now deliberating potential measures in response to alleged violations that officials say began immediately after the truce took effect.
The official indicated that last night’s return of additional remains from a previously recovered hostage represents just one element of ongoing ceasefire breaches.
IDF forces documented video footage yesterday showing Hamas operatives digging a location in Gaza, transporting the remains of slain hostage Ofir Tzarfati to the site, and subsequently contacting the Red Cross to observe what appeared to be a retrieval operation.
The PMO official declared that Hamas’s methods have been exposed through this incident.
“The modus operandi of Hamas has been revealed. It’s all a big show. It’s just like their ‘starvation’ campaign,” the PMO official stated, drawing comparisons to previous Hamas information operations.
The official asserted that Hamas manufactures scenarios for public consumption.
“They stage everything, everything is a lie,” the official said.
Emphasizing the documentary evidence obtained by Israeli forces, the official declared the deception has been definitively proven.
“We proved in black and white, in color even, in pictures, how much they are lying,” the official stated.
