The Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Joe Ajaero has reacted after the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu stated that they are thinking of migrating people to Band A.
In a viral video that was shared on the official X account of Channels TV on Thursday, Adelabu stated that instead of increasing electricity tariffs, the Power Ministry is thinking of migrating many Nigerians to Band A.
According to the Power Minister;
“We understand it can’t be 100% but we are working on the remaining 10% or 15%. So we are thinking that instead of increasing the tariffs, what we should be doing is to migrate more customers to the Band A”.
Reacting, Comrade Joe Ajaero claimed that Nigerians are not getting adequate power supply yet, the Power Ministry is trying to migrate people to Band A. He said the migration is the highest level of “419”.
According to Channels TV, Joe Ajaero said that;
“If I am not metered, you can’t just wake up & say I have to pay N20k. If you do not give me supply, there is a consequence.
“Now the ministry is talking about migrating people to Band A, Band B, that is the highest level of “419”.
