Femi Falana, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, has stated that on the same day President Donald Trump was threatening to send American troops into Nigeria, a church in one of states in America was attacked by a gunman who killed five people and injured several others.

In an interview with Channels Television from 23:33, Falana said Trump did not even make a statement about that incident. He said between 2020 and 2025, not less than 280,000 people have been killed in the United States by gunmen.

Falana said this clearly shows hypocrisy because America itself is struggling with gun violence. However, he said the Nigerian government should take Trump’s warning as a wake-up call to strengthen security and protect its citizens.
