The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu has criticized the International Criminal Court for issuing an arrest warrant against the deceased Hamas leader Mohammed Deif, calling it absurd. He condemned the court’s inaction against Hamas terrorists responsible for horrific acts, including the beheading of Israeli soldiers and the burning of babies.

He pointed out that Hamas continues to hold 101 hostages, including citizens from various countries, such as the United States. He reiterated that Israel would not recognize the legitimacy of the court’s decision and vowed to continue its efforts to protect the nation against threats from Iran and its terrorist proxies, including Hamas and Hezbollah.

He said in an interview with AIJAC from 2:58, “The court did not do anything against the Hamas terrorists who beheaded our men, burned babies alive in front of their parents, and kidnapped hundreds of men, women, and children to the underground dungeons of Gaza. And they’re still holding 101 hostages, citizens of many lands including the United States. And come to think of it, the court did issue one arrest warrant against Hamas. The court issued an arrest warrant against the corpse of the Hamas terrorist Mohammed Deif. What an absurdity! No biased anti-Israel decision will prevent the State of Israel from defending its citizens.

And I want to thank our many friends around the world, especially those in the United States, who have condemned this outrage and who have said that this decision will have severe consequences for the ICC. Israel will not recognize the validity of this decision, and we will continue to do everything we must do to defend our citizens and defend our state against Iran’s axis of terror and its terrorist proxies which include Hamas, Hezbollah, and others.”
