Political analyst Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed has criticized the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for failing to establish a clear identity and communicate its vision to Nigerian voters.
During an interview on Trust TV from 4:56, Baba-Ahmed expressed concern about the party’s inability to distinguish itself in the country’s crowded political landscape, describing the situation as unfortunate for Nigeria’s democratic development.
“The ADC itself has massive problems. Nigerians don’t know yet what it stands for, and that is a very unfortunate thing,” Baba-Ahmed stated during the discussion.
The ADC, registered as one of Nigeria’s numerous political parties, has struggled to carve out a distinct ideological position or policy platform that resonates with voters. This lack of clarity about its core values and objectives has hindered its ability to attract significant support or present itself as a viable alternative to the established parties.
Baba-Ahmed’s observation suggests that the party’s problems extend beyond mere lack of resources or media attention. The more fundamental issue is the absence of a compelling narrative about what the ADC represents and how it differs from other parties competing for votes. See, More, Here>>>
