According to the report from the Channels News, Senator Adams Oshiomhole, representing Edo North Senatorial District, has voiced concerns regarding the motives behind the End Bad Governance protest. He claims that some participants are pushing for a regime change, which is prohibited by the Nigerian constitution.

Oshiomhole warned that any efforts to disrupt the government through unconstitutional means would lead to major issues. He questioned the statements made by some individuals about reclaiming Nigeria, asking if the country is under foreign occupation, as such claims imply.

In an interview with Channels TV, Oshiomhole expressed his doubts about the protest, noting that he heard people talking about reclaiming Nigeria and questioned if the country was under foreign control. He emphasized that Nigeria is governed by Nigerians, not by any foreign entity.

Oshiomhole highlighted that some individuals rejected the outcome of the 2023 election, which he sees as evidence of a significant agenda behind the protest. He suggested that some protesters’ motives go beyond addressing governance issues and veer into unconstitutional territory.

During an interview on Channels Television, he remarked, “I heard some people saying they want to reclaim Nigeria and I said is Nigeria under foreign occupation?. Nigeria is under Nigeria government, we are not under foreign occupation. There was someone who said they don’t want the outcome of the 2023 election. The summary of everything tells you that there is a strong agenda behind the protest.”….Sêe_Morē
