One of the chiefs of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former Kaduna lawmaker who represented Kaduna Central at the National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani, has reacted after Justice Binta Nyako steps aside after Nnamdi Kanu claimed she ignored court order.
According to Channels TV, Justice Binta Nyako recused herself after Nnamdi Kanu stated that he no longer has confidence in the court.
Nnamdi Kanu told her to recuse herself because she didn’t abide by the decision of the Supreme Court. Kanu said it is regrettable that she refused to obey court order.
Nnamdi Kanu was quoted as saying that:
“My Lord, I have no confidence in this court any more, and I ask you to recuse yourself because you did not abide by the decision of the Supreme Court. I can understand it if the DSS refuses to obey a court order, but for this court to refuse to obey an order of the Supreme Court is regrettable.”.
However, Senator Shehu Sani has now reacted to the report. In a post that he shared on his official X handle on Tuesday, Senator Shehu Sani has praised Justice Nyako for taking a noble stance, stating, “Justice Nyako did the honorable thing.
