Senator Shehu Sani, a well respected human rights activist and former Kaduna central senatorial district lawmaker recently reacted after watching several footages of the protests against Nigerians in Ghana. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that Ohaneze should act urgently.

The recent protests against Nigerians, especially Ndigbo living in Ghana generated controversies after the reports and footages went viral across various social media platforms.

According to Senator Shehu Sani, a renowned human rights activist in a recent statement which was shared on his official X handle, he disclosed that he felt pained after watching videos personally sent to him by Ghanaians.

In his remarks, he pointed out that the content were not nice, urging the leadership of Ohaneze Ndigbo (a sociocultural group tasked with protecting the interest of Igbo people worldwide) to act decisively.

Giving the advice, he disclosed that they should meet with the Ghana community in Nigeria and also travel to the country to address their grievances in order for normalcy to return to both countries.

These were the words of Senator Shehu Sani which he shared on his official X handle,

“I received and watched a lot of videos from Ghanaians against Nigerians. The content not nice at all. My advice is that in addition to what our government should do, I advise the leadership of Ohaneze to meet with the Ghanaian community in Nigeria and also travel to Ghana to address their fears and issues they raised, so that normalcy can return between our two brotherly countries.” He wrote.
