The Chairman Board of Trustees, BoT, of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Chekwas Okorie, has expressed optimism that Igbos may refuse to participate in the scheduled nationwide protest against Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s led government, noting that the people of the south east have been advised not to participate in the protest.

According to Sahara Reporters, Chief Chekwas Okorie made this disclosure when he emerged as the BoT chairman of the party, noting that the country is already on the brink of potential chaos and violence due to widespread hardship across the country.

Chief Okorie said: “We Are confident to say that you are unlikely to see Igbo individuals taking part in these planned protests.”

The APGA BoT Chairman went on and made it known that some individuals may be used as scapegoats during the nationwide protest, thereby urging Yorubas and northerners to take similar actions and avoid taking part in the protest.

In addition, Chief Okorie noted that the country is currently sitting on a keg of gunpowder, thereby urging Nigerians not to go the way of nationwide protest. He went on and noted that a hungry and angry man is irrational, who is capable of destroying properties….Seë _Morë
