Adams Oshiomhole, Lawmaker representing Edo North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has drawn a contrast between the Occupy Nigeria protest and the current hardship protests. In an interview with Arise News, Oshiomhole noted that the Occupy Nigeria protest had notable figures like Pastor Tunde Bakare, Wole Soyinka, and Femi Falana, who were known for their advocacy and commitmen to the cause, Watch video start from 14:06.
However, Oshiomhole expressed that he doesn’t recognize the leaders of the current hardship protests, implying that they lack the credibility and reputation of the previous protest leaders. This juxtaposition highlights Oshiomhole’s skepticism about the current protests and their leadership, suggesting that they may not have the same level of legitimacy or impact as the previous protests.

“You refer to occupy Nigeria, I saw people like Pastor Bakare, you’ll recall that when I was in NLC, not only is face my known, we shared platform with Wole Soyinka, now at 90 and I’m happy he’s ageing gracefully and God will bless him and continue to give him good health. I shared platform with Femi Falana. I remembered in one occasion in the front of Alawusa, Gani Fawehinmi collapsed, in the cause of addressing workers. These are Nigerians that are known”….Sêe_Morē
