A protester has stated that he was paid five thousand naira to disrupt the protest in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), however, after collecting the money, he decided to join the protest instead.

In a video shared by News Central TV from 1:19, the protester said others who accepted the money were the ones causing disturbances.

The protester said he works as a Keke (tricycle) driver and that he transported many people to the meeting location where they received the money. He also shared that he doesn’t know the names of the individuals who paid them but stated that those who took the money are the ones causing trouble at the protests.

In his words: “I have evidence, I am among the people that were given 5,000 naira to disrupt protest. They gathered people at a townhall and gave them 5 thousand naira. I am a Keke man, I carried many people to the location and we were all given five thousand naira. They told us not to support the protest, I don’t know the name of the people. The people that are disrupting our peaceful protests are the people who were given five thousand naira”….Sêe_More
