The Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi has reacted after an X user said police can’t confront bandits except bandits and Yahoo boys.
The X user wrote on his page;
“Na Yahoo Yahoo boys and Peaceful protesters Una for dey get Power. See Bandits, you are here telling stories”.
Reacting to the statement, the PPRO told him to advise Yahoo Boys that are closer to him to shun crimes. He said internet fraud is a crime that is punishable under the law.
In a post that Muyiwa Adejobi shared on his page on Friday, he told him not to castigate police for arresting criminals who live fat on frauds.
Here is what he wrote on his page;
“You can advise Yahoo boys and those you know directly to shun crimes, too. Internet fraud is a crime and punishable under the law of this country. While policemen who pardon Yahoo boys are charged to be more professional by arresting and charging them to court. They have the right and powers to apprehend all offenders”….Sêê_Môrê
