Dr. Moses Paul, one of the aides of the former governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi has taken to his official X account on Tuesday to react after Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu slammed Peter Obi for calling Nigeria a poor country.
The Lagos state governor criticized the former governor of Anambra state after listening to the statement that he made at the Johns Hopkins University in USA. Sanwo-Olu stated that it is the duty and responsibility of every Nigerian to speak positive things about the country.
Reacting, Dr. Moses Paul disagreed with the Lagos state governor’s position that Peter Obi failed to speak about the country positively.
He said what the former governor of Anambra state did at the university was that he stated the truth. He said those criticizing Peter Obi for the comment he made in USA should learn how to counter statements with superior facts.
According to Moses Paul on his official X account;
“How can citizens make informed decisions if they are shielded from the reality of their nation’s condition? It is better to tell the people the truth. They will not kill you for it. On the contrary, a well-informed citizenry is a prerequisite for national progress”.
