Counter-terrorism expert Dr. Seyi Adebayo has credited the swift response of the Nigerian security agencies for preventing the abductors of the Oriire pupils, teachers, and principal in Oyo State from relocating their victims to another forest, describing the operation as a decisive intervention that helped secure their rescue.

Speaking during an interview from 11:33 on TVC News, on Friday, 10 July, 2026 while reacting to the successful rescue of the victims, Adebayo said the Nigerian Armed Forces responded quickly after receiving intelligence about the kidnappers’ movements.
