Dr. Abel Damina, founder of Power City International in Uyo, and his wife, Dr. Racheal Damina, have sparked widespread discussion following their response to a question on marital intimacy during a recent church service.

The question, submitted by a congregant and read by radio host Michael Bush, directly asked, “Sir, is oral sex good in marriage?”

In his response, Dr. Damina, a prominent figure known to his followers as “Global Baba,” categorized such acts as “non-essentials.”

He stated, “However you want to pleasure yourselves in your marriage, in your home, that’s your business. God is not even bothered about it. That’s why the Bible is quiet about it. It’s your choice as long as you’re not harming yourselves.”

His wife, Dr. Racheal Damina, was then asked to comment and offered a concise concurrence: “God is not aware. God is not aware. Whatever you want to do is your choice.”

The couple’s remarks, which have gone viral on social media, present a liberal theological perspective that contrasts with the more conservative views often held by many evangelical churches on matters of sēxual practice within marriage.

Their comments emphasize personal choice and mutual consent between spouses, suggesting such matters fall outside divine concern.
