A report that was published on the official X account of VANGUARD on Monday, December 1, 2025 has captured the moment Denge Joseph Onoh, the former Southeast campaign spokesman for President Bola Tinubu was condemning the ambassadorial nomination of former presidential aide, Reno Omokri.
His statement came after the President included the name of Reno Omokri among his ambassadorial nominees.
In the report that surfaced online, Denge Joseph Onoh told members of the National Assembly not to confirm Reno Omokri. He said his confirmation will tarnish the image of the country.
He said before the presidential election, Reno Omokri was moving from one media house to the other tarnishing the image of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Onoh stated that the former presidential aide is not worthy of representing the image of the country in a foreign country. He appealed to the Nigerian Senate to reject his nomination.
According to Vanguard, Denge Joseph Onoh said that;
“He (Reno Omokri) repeatedly called President Bola Ahmed Tinubu a drug lord and drug baron with a shady past on Arise TV, Channels Television, BBC Hausa Service and in several viral Twitter posts”. View, More,
