Umar Farouk Ibrahim, a factional national secretary of the Labour Party (LP), has given his take on the plans to unseat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the forthcoming 2027 presidential election.
In recent times, Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party LP in the 2023 election; Nasir El-Rufai, a former governor of Kaduna state; and Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president of Nigeria, alongside other coalition leaders, have adopted the African Democratic Congress ADC as a platform to defeat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the forthcoming 2027 presidential election.
However, during an interview with TrustTV News from 16:53, the Labour Party LP flagbearer, Umar Farouk Ibrahim, stated that Peter Obi is not interested in the forthcoming 2027 presidential election, since he had rejected the presidential ticket of the Labour Party (LP).
He also accused the former governor of anti-party activities, making reference to his ties with the coalition party, the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
According to the video, “I can tell you, Obi is not going to contest the presidential election; he is enjoying his media publicity, but he is not interested in the 2027 election; otherwise, we would have given him the offer, and he rejected it.” See, More, Here>>>
