According to a report by Daily Post, United States President Donald Trump has once again clashed with former ally Elon Musk, sharpening their public dispute this week. Trump threatened to deploy the Department Of Government Efficiency (DOGE) against the Tesla CEO, signaling a renewed effort to scrutinize Musk’s ventures and government ties.
Musk initially launched the DOGE initiative in February, aiming to eliminate fraud and waste in federal spending. The campaign, which he led until May, drew praise from budget hawks and sparked debate over accountability in government contracts.
Their partnership began to fray after Musk’s departure from the Trump administration earlier this year. Privately frustrated by policy disagreements, the two appeared to part ways without public incident—until now.
On Monday, Musk reignited tensions by criticizing lawmakers who support increased federal spending while campaigning on fiscal restraint. He warned that backing the president’s latest budget proposal would undermine pledges to reduce waste.
Musk also hinted that, should the budget pass, he might launch a new political group called the America Party. The proposed party would advocate for strict spending limits and challenge both major parties on fiscal issues.
In response, Trump accused Musk of threatening American innovation and vowed to halt support for space launches, satellite programs, and electric vehicle manufacturing tied to federal contracts. He suggested that DOGE should investigate Musk’s own statements and business interests to ensure the campaign remains free of bias.
According to Trump, “no more Rocket launches, Satellites, or Electric Car Production, and our Country would save a FORTUNE.
