In a recent video on Channels Television, Kemi Nanna Nandap, Comptroller General of Immigration has recently emphasized that several individuals in the diaspora who are actively instigating the protest observed in the country are on their watch list. Speaking to the press, Kemi highlighted that these sponsors are currently on their watchlist and would be identified.
She reassured the public that the government is closely monitoring these individuals. “We’re working closely with the NIA, DSS, and the NSA’s office. All those who are trying to subvert the authority of this nation are on our radar. We have them watch-listed, and any attempt they make to come into the country will be notified.”
The Comptroller further stressed the government’s preparedness to address any threats posed by these individuals. “We also know what to do and will notify the necessary authorities. In essence, we are making sure that everyone who is not supposed to come into the country, anyone of interest in terms of these activities going on right now, will be handed over to the necessary authority.
According to her, “Just to buttress what the IGP and the DSS said regarding the sponsors and the question the gentleman asked, I just want to let you know that some of these sponsors, some of these people who are actually in the diaspora, are instigating the mayhem that we’re seeing right now. We have a number of them on our watch list, and they have been watch-listed. We have them on our radar, and we’re making sure that any attempt they make to come into the country will be notified to the necessary authorities. We’re working closely with the NIA, DSS, and the NSA’s office.”
