Femi Falana, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), has spoken about Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s recent visit to her hometown in Ihima, Kogi State.

Speaking at an event covered by Sahara Reporters TV, Falana said that Governor Usman Ododo had issued an illegal order banning rallies, public meetings, and convoys of vehicles, thinking that Natasha would arrive with a convoy and attract a large crowd. Falana said despite the governor’s warning and threats to arrest anyone who disobeyed the order, the people of Kogi still came out in huge numbers to welcome Natasha. He said even Governor Ododo can’t mobilize the kind of crowd that gathered to receive Natasha.

Falana said: “Governor Ododo issued an illegal order that ‘I hereby ban all rallies and meetings and I also ban convoy of vehicles’ believing that Natasha was going to come in a convoy. And the people of Kogi did all of us proud by showing that a people organized can never be defeated. They gathered in a manner of crowd that even the governor cannot mobilize in that state”
