Senator Onyekachi Nwaebonyi has made fresh allegations against Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan claiming that she disrupted her husband’s first marriage and took over the family.
Speaking in an interview on News Central TV, Nwaebonyi referenced a video he watched in which the father of Akpoti-Uduaghan’s husband’s first wife shared details of how she allegedly caused turmoil in the family.
“I was watching a video of how the father of the first wife of the husband narrated her ordeal. When this lady came into their family, she destabilized her family and took over her husband,” Nwaebonyi stated.
The claims have ignited fresh controversy surrounding Akpoti-Uduaghan’s personal life, with some critics questioning her role in the alleged family crisis.
While she has not publicly responded to these accusations, her supporters argue that the allegations are part of a smear campaign against her due to her growing political influence.
Akpoti-Uduaghan, a prominent female politician and advocate, has faced several criticisms from political opponents in recent months. Her marriage has been a subject of debate, particularly given her outspoken nature and increasing influence in Nigerian politics.
Public reactions to Nwaebonyi’s statement have been mixed. Some believe that politicians’ personal lives should not overshadow their public service, while others argue that issues surrounding personal ethics and family values can impact leadership credibility.
As the controversy continues, many are waiting to see whether Akpoti-Uduaghan or her husband’s family will respond to these allegations, or if this remains another episode in the ongoing political battles in Nigeria.
