Fatima Musa, the wife of Musa, a teacher with Hakimi Secondary School, Mokwa, who lost his life while trying to save their baby during the flood, revealed that her husband ran inside to pick up their baby, and the water with high velocity shut the door, and that was when the building collapsed on him and their baby.

As reported by the Daily Trust News, Fatima Musa said, “As he ran inside to pick up the baby, the water with a high velocity shut the door, and the building collapsed on him and the baby.”

 

While narrating the incident, Fatima said she and her husband were both inside the room when they heard people shouting that they should all run. They first ran outside and saw a huge volume of water coming towards them. She then told her husband that their baby was still inside. Her husband, Musa, ran inside, and that was how it ended.

Fatima said she needs help with her remaining children’s education because when her husband was still alive, he struggled to cater to the education of their children. With tears in her eyes, she said that her husband’s death was the worst thing that had happened to her.
